Summer saviour

silk scarfA few days ago I was looking for a nice ladies silk scarf; I think I already told you that I find the trend-colours of this summer a little boring and little diversified… Don’t get me wrong: those colours (like Apricot and Cream) per se are very nice; but if there’s just blouses, skirts and pants in these two tones, then it gets a little dull, don’t you agree?

Well, that’s why I was very glad to see that when it comes to scarves, theses rules don’t seem to apply: they had the most varied designs, different colours, floral patterns, whatever your heart desires. …But thinking about it, this is the only logical thing they can do – after all this summer there is just those accessories to spice up your unspectacular outfit… ;-)

Convenient trend

Has the look of destroyed jeans finally returned? I’m just asking because last time when I was shopping I saw lots of those jeans. And it really would be great if this trend came back now; because all of my jeans already have this look! Well, maybe not necessarily on purpose – let’s just say time was the creator of this look, when it comes to my jeans…

But I see no problem there: Why spend so much money for a pair of slim fit jeans, if the jeans I already own perfectly fit to this trendy look? That’s why I would love to see this style coming back – so I don’t need to buy new trousers, but can wear the ones I already have a little longer. And be super trendy at the same time! I could really kill two birds with one stone, don’t you think?

Summer’s secret

I’m really eager to know what type of summer is awaiting us this year… Due to the global warming I fear we have to reckon with everything. It can establish the next heat-record with desert-like temperatures; but at the same time we can have the next Noachian deluge. Or them both by turns…

You see I’m quite disillusioned about what happens to our planet… But of course: hope dies last. So I still keep my faith that there will be a chance to wear my nice shorts, my sunglasses and all my other pretty summer-clothes. But that’s just my egoistic fashion-desire… In general I hope that humanity will realise what we do to our planet and reconsider a few things, like our food pattern for example…

For a better world…

I think I already told you about my resolution to eat less meat. I’m not planning to be a fulltime vegetarian (or vegan), but at least I want to qualify my consumption of meat. And when I’ll buy meat I will buy good one. That may be expensive – but since I will eat less, that won’t matter. This way one regaines the consciousness that meat is something special and that an animal had to die for us…

So since I’m doing this out of pity with the animals I’m wondering: should I also stop wearing leather clothes for example? Because there are lots of animals suffering not just for our food pattern… Well, I still haven’t decided yet – but I think eating less meat is a very good start, don’t you agree?

A girly year…

I decided that the year 2013 will be a very feminine year for me. Not that I normally leave the house dressed like a canadian lumberjack; but what I want to express is that at the moment I am really in the mood for wearing clothes like a sweet silky dress or something similar.

I even decided to eat more healthy and bought me a cooking book with just fresh, vegetarian food. I’m not a vegetarian (yet), but why not trying to eat a little healthier and with less meat? And my new detoxed body will just go perfect with the feminine fashion I’m planning to wear. :-)

Funny that although I didn’t have a single New Year’s Pledge, now I’m changing lot’s of things. But without any stress – and that’s really the best way!

New beginning

The year 2013 has arrived and I hope you all had a great party with your beloved ones. I am really excited what the new year will bring us – in general and of course in terms of fashion and style. I personally deeply hope that in this new year some fashiontrends will pass from us – like skinny fit jeans.

I can’t explain why but I just don’t like them. But on us girls they look at least, let’s say, okay. But boys with those skinny jeans look just awful. The truth is I could never bear a boyfriend who wears this kind of trousers. Because I immediately start thinking about these Britpop-guys, who all look like as if they would smell really bad… So thanks, no skinny jeans for me – nor my boyfriend.

Equality

Shapewear for men? Really?? Well, before I found this sloggi men sculpture on the internet I never thought something like that even exists. But of course – in our crazy world there’s nothing that doesn’t exist. That’s at least what I think.

But on the other hand I have no right to backbite. I mean for women it’s absolutely normal to wear push-up bras, thus something that gives your body a better form. So why can’t men do the same? By the way – there also exists push-up underwear for men. So why not push up the rest of your body, too? I you feel better this way – why not doing it? If people want to do something and don’t hurt other people with doing so or break the law – just do it! This rule applies to every topic in life.

Sexy Scottish

I absolutely love tartan patterns! I got my couch in a tartan pattern, I’ve got shoes in tartan, a bag, socks and many things more. I just have to be careful not to wear it all together – because that would look kind of freaky… I don’t even know, why I love this kind of pattern so extremely. I’m not Scottish, nor do I have Scottish ancestors or something like that. To be honest I not even have been there once in my life. Well – I do however love Scottish musician and Garbage-lead singer Shirley Manson. But I don’t think there’s a connection.

What I actually wanted to say: In a few weeks it’s my boyfriend’s birthday. You already guessed what I’ll buy him, didn’t you? A great Maxi in a VERY sexy style, hehehe…

Respect

Love is a wonderful thing – but it’s always sad when it changes to hate so suddenly. I really don’t understand that – at least if the other one hasn’t cheated on you or hurt you in some other mean way… But if you seperated in „good understanding“ (as they always call it), why not keep the respect for the other person? And why are so many prominent ex-couples trying to disgrace each other afterwards?

Most recent example: Russell Brand and Katy Perry. Lately he is going from talkshow to talkshow, telling how awful the sex with her was.

Sorry, but something like this is in my opinion an indication for a very weak, very poor man. A man who always had a problem with his strong and beautiful wife.

But, mister, if I were you I’d better shut up: Because your ex-wife is an stylish and extremely successful singer – whilst you’re nothing more than a wrecked comedian…

Look-alike

It seems that the actual trend for couples in Hollywood is to dress like twins – this so called „partnerlook“. Just look at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West or David and Victoria Beckham. And even Prince William and his beautiful Kate are wearing a similar look ultimately.

I find this really sweet! That way everybody can see at first sight: We are a couple, we belong together and I honor the taste of my partner that much that I’m even adopting it.

Of course you can’t do that everyday, or else it gets a little akward. But appear on some occasions as a strong, loving unit is in my opinion kind of cool.

So my next plans: going shopping with my darling and buy some clothes – together! I just hope I’m not the only one, who likes that style…
