Waiting for green…

Posted on by

At the moment I am desperately looking for some green trousers; I already found nice pants in all possible colours – except for green. Well, to be honest – in one store I found them in green too; but unfortunately not in my size… :-(

Of course I asked the shop assistant if they will get them in other sizes again; but you know, it was the typical answer, like „yes, I think, should be so, maybe, yes, I’m quite positve, someday surely…“ And so I’m sitting here in front of my computer, looking trough some onlineshops. But when it comes to trousers I really prefer to try them on and see how they look and feel. So I’m not sure if I will order… Maybe I’ll just visit the store again where I already found them – when they get my size again… someday…

Summer saviour

silk scarfA few days ago I was looking for a nice ladies silk scarf; I think I already told you that I find the trend-colours of this summer a little boring and little diversified… Don’t get me wrong: those colours (like Apricot and Cream) per se are very nice; but if there’s just blouses, skirts and pants in these two tones, then it gets a little dull, don’t you agree?

Well, that’s why I was very glad to see that when it comes to scarves, theses rules don’t seem to apply: they had the most varied designs, different colours, floral patterns, whatever your heart desires. …But thinking about it, this is the only logical thing they can do – after all this summer there is just those accessories to spice up your unspectacular outfit… ;-)

Cheap celebs

Yesterday I went to the drugstore to buy a few things like toothpaste, detergent and a face mask, because lately I got problems with greasy skin and a few zits…

But that’s not what I wanted to write about in the first place. As you surely know, every drugstore has a corner where you can buy womens perfume. Of course not that much like in a real perfumery, and also not the high class-brands; instead they have all those celebrity fragrances, like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and so on. But what I didn’t know is that those scents are really low priced; I thought exactly because they are from those „big stars“ they would cost a little extra. But no – looks like they know quite well that they can’t keep up with the real perfume-pros like Joop or Boss…

Minimal cost

skirtA friend of mine recently told me she needed some silk skirts, that she could wear at work or in her spare time. I asked her if she really wants just one piece for both purposes; after all business fashion normally looks a little different from what people wear in their normal life. But she told me: No, it’s no problem at all. I buy a normal skirt that reaches to my knee, which I can wear at work. And then, when it’s party time, I just draw it up and wear it higher, so it becomes a sexy mini-skirt!

I have to confess this is quite a good idea; and it never occured to me. Well, my friend just knows how to save money; if it wouldn’t sound so negative you could call her a penny pincher. But I don’t want to call her that, because with her friends she is really generous!

Waiting endlessly…

Recently when surfing the internet and looking for some new shirts and stuff, in the end I landed on the BOSS homepage. There I saw lots of cool BOSS Orange clothing; I would have loved to buy a few more things. But I’m not too rich at the moment – as a freelancer you always depend on your jobs, of course. That’s the price you pay for your „freedom“.

So till I get the money from my last jobs I will have to live a little more frugal, hehe. And agencies love to keep you waiting… Yesterday for example I got the money from a work I did last(!) summer. I find this rather barefaced, but there’s not much you can do… Except for not working for this specific company the next time. But they pay very good after all, so I’ll do it again when required. ;)

Bad mood

I was so happy that spring finally had begun and that it started getting so warm outside. I remember when exacly one week ago I was wearing shorts and enjoying the sun on my face. One day later it started to rain; and it hasn’t stopped yet…

It even got so wet an moistly outside that I turned on the heating again. Not just for myself but also for the laundry which just won’t getting dry… I really hate it! Even more since I think that the heating doesn’t even work, because in „summer“ the property management switches it off… I think we all know the „great“ smell of laundry that stays moist for a few days…

And looking at the forecast… well, let’s just say my mood isn’t really getting better, ok?

women trousersRecently I bought some really beautiful silk trousers; although it’s always a little risky, wearing them so early in the year… Because in spring there’s sometimes still lots of dirt and mud on the streets – reminder of the winter. Together with those frequent rainy days spring has to offer, going out can be quite a dirty matter.

And wouldn’t it be a pity to stain your new pants? Even more, considering that you must be very careful when it comes to washing silk. So I only wear them when the forecast is really good and it surely will be a sunny day. …But of course there’s never a guarantee that you and your clothes will stay sound and safe. You want an example? Just imagine me, eating spaghetti… :D

Young and dumb

Yesterday I had quite a shocking experience in the subway. I call it shocking, because somehow I find it too sad to be really funny. But please decide for yourself:

Two little girls – approximately eleven years old – were sitting next to me and I overheard their conversation. So the one eleven year-old, that sat there with a Louis Vuitton-purse(!), said: „A few days ago I got together with Sarah – and she had some cheap handbag with her! Can you imagine that? I don’t think I wanna hang out with her any longer!“

I must have looked at them in such a shocked and disbelieving way that they suddenly shut up and left. I hope this brat realised her own incredible stupidity… My look seems to have been sufficient to make her understand, hehe.

blouseHow are you? Enjoying the sun? I absolutely do! It’s so great to feel the warm sunshine on your face and skin again after such a long and dark winter… Fitting to my happy mood I even bought me some silky and airy ladies blouses. Now I nearly feel like lady spring myself. ;-)

I just love it to sit outside in some pavement café, drinking a latte, equipped with sunglasses and a good book. Of course you always have to bring an in-between jacket, anyway; just in case April want’s to prove it’s power and let’s the temperatures change in the blink of an eye. But if you’re properly prepared, this won’t shock you, right? Because there is no bad weather – just bad clothing. Or in this case: bad preparation.

Still on shoes

Now that spring is here, it’s time to put away the boots – and look for some new shoes. Remember what I told you last time about women and shoes? Exactly! And that’s why I don’t have a guilty conscience when I go shopping new shoes, hehe. I already saw very cool high heels – although it’s a little early to wear those; I guess I will have to wait until summer. But it doesn’t have to be high heels, of course; there are also really great sneakers I thought about buying when I saw them in the store.

Well, I still haven’t decided – that’s the problem when there’s such a great variety. But of course I prefer this kind of „problem“ over any other real problem… The keyword here is “first world problems”, don’t you think?
